Welcome to Harriet's Hive!
Where we Bee-lieve in You!

There is a friendly buzz in the air - it is Harriet the Bumblebee! And she has captured the hearts of everyone with her smile and can do spirit.

Harriet's story begins with her struggle to overcome her fear of flying.

Harriet represents every little child. She is full of hopes, dreams, fears, and lots of silliness. All her struggles, emotions, and victories are on display for children to learn from. And the stories are engaging and fun - think of a modern day Winnie the Pooh.

Illustrations are hand drawn by the talented Ana Liz Bourassa. They draw readers in and help them connect to the characters.

Every book contains an activity journal, "Doodles & Dreams" where the reader learns more about animals, their habitat and even a bit about themselves. Making books a forever keepsake!

The underlying theme of the series is that you can do anything once you believe you can.

The series also teaches children about friendship, teamwork, generosity, and chasing ones dreams. Pollination, instinct, metamorphosis, and migration were naturally woven into the storylines.

Karen believes that a great children's series should also strengthen a child's reading skills! She created a formula to help with this:

The word count increases with each book and the font size decreases every three books; which is represented by the different colors of the covers.

Books 1 - 3 have a yellow cover and a font size of 23

Books 4 - 6 have a green cover and a font size of 19

Books 7 -9 have a blue cover and a font size of 14

We hope you and your little reader will enjoy these stories over and over again.

Be sure to buzz around Harriet's website and don't miss out on the Confidence Coins! They are FREE to download.

Last, but never least, is Karen's mission: That each book sold will inspire one child, while feeding another!

  Karen's message to every child:

Like Harriet, if you believe you can do something, then you can!

We bee-lieve in you and your dreams!

Thank you for being here,

Karen
